Dr. Sferlazza has been practicing Dentistry in Mississauga since 1989. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1987 at the University of Toronto. His continued efforts to master the latest advancements in this field has led him to obtain the prestigious Fellowship Award in 2000. It is awarded for outstanding achievement in post-graduate education, and clinical excellence.
In 2001 and 2002, Dr. Sferlazza completed a mini residency program in the field of dental implants through the Hebel Institute of Oral Implantology. In 2005 and 2006 Dr. Sferlazza obtained his level I and level II Invisalign Certification, the latest technology for teeth straightening. In 2006 he completed 1100 hours of disciplined and comprehensive dental study covering all aspects of dentistry and was presented with his Masters Award from the AGD in recognition of professional dedication to the best possible patient care.
In 2007 and 2008 he earned a second Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantology (ICOI) through the Misch International Implant Institute (from Temple University)-recognized as the standard for advanced courses in implants, bone grafting techniques and sinus surgeries.
Dr. Sferlazza’s future studies include advanced courses in hard and soft tissue lasers, as well as continue implant bone grafting techniques and sinus surgeries.
