However, it may be difficult to stay occupied at home for such long periods of time. We have gathered a list of useful resources and tips that will help to keep you occupied at home.

CANADA EMERGENCY RESPONSE BENEFIT (CERB)
If you have lost your job due to COVID-19, you can apply to the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) for temporary income support. Learn more here: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/ei/cerb-application.html
GOVERNMENT SUPPORT FOR YOUR FAMILY
The province of Ontario is offering financial support to families. Families will be eligible for a one-time payment of $200 per child up to age 12. They are also offering $250 per child with special needs up to the age of 21. Keep in mind that you will need to apply separately for each child. CHANGES TO TAX FILING DEADLINES
The CRA has indicated that interest and penalties will not be charged if all deferred payments are met by September 1st, 2020. Interest and penalties will be taken into consideration on a case-by-case basis. For the 2019 tax year, the filing date is extended to June 1st, 2020, for individuals.
